  • Sorry

    Yo I have installed all browsers including Google Chrome, but in the menu to choose on which I have to use is not listed on Chrome.

    I have checked the settings and enter the directory where you installed, but still not working.
  • Hi miguelangelreal,

    Click on configure in Sahi Dashboard and mention the path of Google Chrome in BrowserTypes and save it . Restart Sahi.

    Sumitra
  • I have this and doesn't work:

    <browserType>
    <name>chrome</name>
    <displayName>Chrome</displayName>
    <icon>chrome.png</icon>
    <path>C:\Documents and Settings\x57083re\Configuracion local\Datos de programa\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe</path>
    <options>--user-data-dir=$userDir\browser\chrome\profiles\sahi$threadNo --proxy-server=localhost:9999 --disable-popup-blocking</options>
    <processName>chrome.exe</processName>
    <capacity>5</capacity>
    </browserType>
  • I still have not resolved the question of the other post: "Problem with local proxy"

    Please
  • Hi,

    Kindly use this:

    <path>C:\Documents and Settings\\x57083re\\Configuracion local\\Datos de programa\\Google\\Chrome\\Application\\chrome.exe</path>

    instead of :

    <path>C:\Documents and Settings\x57083re\Configuracion local\Datos de programa\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe</path>

    Regards
    Sumitra
  • I've done that and still do not see Google Chrome

    Sorry

    Please try to answer the question from another post, is more important
  • Hi miguelangelreal,

    Kindly try with this:

    <path>"C:\\Documents and Settings\\x57083re\\Configuracion local\\Datos de programa\\Google\\Chrome\\Application\\chrome.exe"</path>

    And even try using Command Prompt.

    Hi, I have same problem than miguelangelreal, i known whats the problem, but no how to fix it.

    Thats because we are from spain, and path contains an "ó" an o with an accent, this is my patch

    <path>C:\Documents and Settings\abueno\Configuración local\Datos de programa\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe</path>

    with this one when you start sahi gives an error, thats because of the ó of "Configuración"

    but if you try using only o instead of ó:

    <path>C:\Documents and Settings\abueno\Configuracion local\Datos de programa\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe</path>

    doesnt display chrome in dashboard because it cant find it

    how can we solve it?

    thanks

    Hi abueno,

    Adding accent should be considered a valid path for Sahi.

    Can you post the output of the Sahi console?

    this is the browser_types.xml

    <browserType>
    <name>chrome</name>
    <displayName>Chrome</displayName>
    <icon>chrome.png</icon>
    <path>C:\Documents and Settings\abueno\Configuración local\Datos de programa\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe</path>
    <options>--user-data-dir=$userDir\browser\chrome\profiles\sahi$threadNo --proxy-server=localhost:9999 --disable-popup-blocking</options>
    <processName>chrome.exe</processName>
    <capacity>5</capacity>
    </browserType>

    Then I restart Sahi Dashboard and where browsers are displayed say this:¨

    No usable browsers found in browser_types.xml
    Click on the Configure link below to add/edit browsers

    If you go another time to configure, yo can see this: Configuracin

    <browserType>
    <name>chrome</name>
    <displayName>Chrome</displayName>
    <icon>chrome.png</icon>
    <path>C:\Documents and Settings\abueno\Configuracin local\Datos de programa\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe</path>
    <options>--user-data-dir=$userDir\browser\chrome\profiles\sahi$threadNo --proxy-server=localhost:9999 --disable-popup-blocking</options>
    <processName>chrome.exe</processName>
    <capacity>5</capacity>
    </browserType>

    And this is the CMD output:

    C:\Documents and Settings\abueno\sahi\userdata\bin>SET SAHI_HOME=..\..

    C:\Documents and Settings\abueno\sahi\userdata\bin>SET SAHI_USERDATA_DIR=..

  • Hi Abueno,

    You're right. Looks like there is a problem when you configure browser_types.xml from the dashboard.

    For the time being, open sahi/userdata/config/browser_types.xml with any editor and modify the path to Chrome. Restart Sahi.
    Check if this solves the problem.

    Hi again,

    I opened with notepad++ and configured with the ó, but when I open dashboard I have the same problem, i go to configure an another time I see , with notepad I see ó.

    Any idea?
  • abuenoabueno Members
    I have done it, look:

    You have to open sahi/userdata/config/browser_types.xml with windows notepad, and save as: use same name and type of file, but in codification use UTF-8 instead of ANSI.

    Now with UTF-8 works perfect with the ó.

    Thanks for the program.
