    What do you mean by background job?

    For running scripts as a batch, have a look at http://sahi.co.in/w/automating-running-of-multiple-testsrunning-in-batch-mode,
    and look at the scripts/demo folder and demo.xml

    Also have a look at the batch_runners folder.

    Hi,
    I mean to say whether it is possible to run the script without allocating a dedicated machine to it.Like i want to run the automation script as well as i want to do some other work.

    From my experience with Sahi i think we can use the machine while some sahi script is running. I mean u dont need a dedicated machine. Am I right Narayan Sir?

    Sahi is light weight.

    You should be able to run scripts in batch mode and go about your business without noticing.

    It might help to run the scripts against a different browser that what you use for day-to-day tasks.

    Sahi will work with Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, and Safari

    Be aware that Safari uses the Internet Explorer TCP/IP stack so you should use Firefox or Opera if you're going to use IE for you're day to day stuff.
