Hang up on https (I did what everything the sahi web page said to do)

I got the program from the link on this site. Myself and one my colleagues have been trying it out. It works great except when we trying going through https. We have created all of the certificates that it tells us to, but it still is giving us problems. We messed around with it for a little bit and it started working on my colleagues laptop, but we don't know how or what we did. I am trying to get it working on my machine and it doesn't work.

The problem is whenever it tries to transition from http to https then it just hangs-up and says in the lower left corner of the browser that it is waiting for the page. I don't know if it is getting hung-up because of the handshake phase, if the timing is off, or what the problem is? I read on the web page that it can hang up during record or playback if multiple certificates are trying to initiate, but it hangs up even before this. It hangs up while the proxy is running without replay or recording, just navigating. It won't even let me go to an https site, http works fine though. Could you point us in the right direction?

Thanks!

The hang up for multiple certificates is no longer an issue. It used to happen with some older browsers.

I would suggest you try to navigate to https://www.verisign.com with the proxy on and see what it shows. You can email me screenshots if you want.
  • I figured it out! My virus protection was the problem. I currently am using Kaspersky internet security 2010. I just disabled my Kaspersky and it worked fine. (I am also sure that if you put it on the list of permissible programs in Kaspersky that it would work fine also, but I haven't tried it yet)
The wierd thing about all of this is that it didn't have any problems with http going through the Sahi proxy, only when I started to connect with https. I think Kaspersky had a problem with the self created certificates.
