Sahi as a Windows Service

Good day my good people,

I need your assistance -
Here's the deal :

Currently I have sahi installed on a VM.
I kick off my tests using an ANT script via Jenkins -
The ANT targets are set to fire up sahi, run the tests, shut down.

The issue,

Once the service is shut down, The reports etc are not available any longer - until i start the service again.

How do I :

Install sahi as a service on my windows box?
And when running as a service, how do I access the landing page and controller?
How do I ensure, my jenkins job will still get the pass/fail results to complete the job, if the service is not shutdown?

Thanks for the input in advance.

regards,
SP

  • So, it appears I am onto a solution.
Sahi is running, tests are running, but the browsers arent showing the test run.
It seems to run in the background,
I'll post more info as I go along
  • Solution in place.

i had same kind of problem. I start sahi using ant and execute the scripts. it seems to be working, but i cant see anything happening.

Please share if you know how to get the browser to show up.

  • Hi Suveer,

Can you please share how did you install sahi as a windows service?
  • Sreekanth, that actually is working correctly.
Are you using DRUN to kick off those tests?

  • SuveerP, the test were triggered from Jenkins using ant target and testrunner.
Have seen this when SAHI itself was started using the ant script.
