hello everyone,

I have a question about how to share my firefox profile with my team members so that they do not need to install the certification manually.(we are testing https website)

I have tried to use my default firefox profile to replace sahi\config\ff_profile_template but failed,
also tried to copy cert_override.txt from my default profile to each of these 10 profile directories (sahi0 through sahi9), still failed too.

anyone can give me hint?
P.S. my sahi version is v3.5

  • Hi herseeing,

Yes, it is possible to share the firefox profiles with your team members.

    Here is the explanation,

Once you accept the certificates on your machine for https site, copy the contents of "certs" by navigating to <sahi-home>/userdata/certs and copy "sahi0" profile by navigating to <sahi-home>/userdata/browser/ff/profiles/sahi0.

Now you will have to replace these two(certs and sahi0 profile) in your team members machine.

    Restart Sahi.

Check if this solves your issue.

  • thanks Sumitra, your solution works, but seems cannot apply for the different firefox version.
for the team members who use the different version of firefox still need to certification after replacing the folders you mentioned

    Hi herseeing,

You can copy just these 3 files

    cert8.db
    key3.db
    cert_override.txt

If you use the Pro version, you would not need to copy over certificates, as certificates are automatically created and accepted by Sahi Pro.

  • hi Narayan, I have tried to copy these 3 files to sahi0 folder, but still failed.
    could you help me out?
  • Hi herseeing,

I tried on my machine for different version of firefox.

You need to copy these 3 files: cert8.db,key3.db,cert_override.txt and also the certs folder.

    This should solve your issue.

    Hi,
How do I do the same thing for IE, and other browsers like Chrome, Safari, Opera? I want share the 'certification' with my team members so that they do not need to install the certification manually.(we are testing https website on various browsers)

    Hi neuy123,

Sahi Pro automatically accepts certificates and does not need manual intervention. You could try that.
