How to capture a text from a text area using sahi?

Hi,

I'm working in Sahi for the automation testing of web application. I need to capture a text from the text area using SAHI. I'm facing some issues in finding this concept in SAHI. Can anyone please provide me a solution to solve this issue?

OS Name - Windows Xp

Browser Name and version - IE.8

Sahi Build - Sahi-V3.5

    Hi jeeva,

    The textarea you specified is normal Textarea or Rich Text Editor?

    If the textarea is normal,use _getText(_textarea("textareaid"));

    if it is Rich Text Editor,use _rteText(_rte("rteid"));
