I am wondering whether Sahi Pro supports tesing on Flex/Flash applications built with Real Time Messaging Protocol secured (RTMPS). I have searched this topic in the forums but could not find one. If Sahi Pro is currently not supporting this protocol testing, i would like to know when we can expect it be available. Thanks for your help.

  • Narayanan,
coul you please respond to me on this topic at the earliest possible, since i am in a kind of urgency? Thanks in advance.
  • Hi Siva,

Can you specify what exactly you are looking to test in RTMPS?

or If you can point us to a sample application with your requirements, then it will be very helpful for us to look in to this.

    Thanks,
    Venky.
  • Hi Venky,
    Thanks for your quick response.
we need to test an insurance application developed in Adobe Flex using RTMP secured protocol. This uses for creating a new client and managing the services. Its socket based stateful protocol.
Unfortunately i can't provide you a sample application.

    Hi tsiva,

RTMP is used for securely streaming data and, I believe, should not affect the functionality of Sahi Flex Library. We will be able to arrive at an answer only if we try it out on an application. Do you think it will be possible for you to test it out?

    Thanks,
    Narayan

Thanks Narayan for your response. Definitely i can test it and see how it is going to work. Right now i am using Sahi 3.5 free version. I will download Sahi Pro and then test it. Will let you know the result as soon as i am done with my testing. Can i have both Sahi 3.5(free version) and Sahi Pro on my machine without using them simultaneously?
  • Hi tsiva,

Yes, you can have multiple versions of Sahi installed on you machine.

You will have to open command prompt, cd to where Sahi/Sahi Pro is installed and start Dashboard from here.

    Sumitra
