click link - launches new window - _closeWindow(); - cannot get Sahi to recognize oriignal window

Have an application that includes a search that gives search results that are links to xhtml which when clicked opens a PDF in a new window within a custom viewer. _closeWindow() closes this window but then Sahi doesn't seem to recognize the original window - How can Sahi be told to make the original window its active window?
