  • Just wanted to educate myself on proxy server. Here is a definition on Wiki on proxy server, "In computer networks, a proxy server is a server (a computer system or an application program) that services the requests of its clients by forwarding requests to other servers. A client connects to the proxy server, requesting some service, such as a file, connection, web page, or other resource, available from a different server. The proxy server provides the resource by connecting to the specified server and requesting the service on behalf of the client." In order for me to use Sahi, I need to configure my browser to point to the proxy server. Here is my question, when I configure my browser to point to proxy server, does it mean that I am requesting services from your server through proxy server so that I can use the tool (Sahi)? If so, is it also true that if your server is down for some reason, I may not be able to use the tool? Please forgive my ignorance on this. I am currently looking at different open source test automation tools and Sahi by far is the best one I have seen so far. I will need to do more investigation on the tool, but I like what I see. Thank you.
