Https application cant be opened in mac

Hello all,
I have installed sahi successfully in mac. i can open the dashboard and record on http sites. but , i am not able to open any https sites. i have added the https site to the ssl manager too. it shows a green tick mark.
when i try to connect to https sites i get this error "sahi could not connect to the desired url"
please help me.
