Sahi-ANT integration problem
I’ll try to do my best describing the problem.
I'm working on the automation of a proyect, what means create the corresponding PATs, and run these PATs automatically.
We know about two ways of running the previously recorded scripts (PATs) in Sahi.
The first way (Manually):
- Open Sahi
- Select the browser
- Open Sahi controller (this is the main part of the application, where scripts are recorded, saved and executed)
- Select the PAT
- Set the webpage where the PAT will run
- Playback
The second way (Through ANT):
- Configure ANT xml file
- Open command prompt
- Execute ANT file from command line
Our application is designed to work in Safari and with most other browsers it isn’t compatible and has graphical errors.
But with Safari, for an unknown reason, we are unable to run the Sahi controller in our application either manually or with an ANT script (for example, it works with google). The controller isn't shown.
In other way, we find that Chrome is compatible with the application and all graphical features are displayed correctly. But another problem came with this:
In Chrome, we can playback the scripts manually, but not through ANT. When we try with ANT, the browser is opened and hangs after loading EDGE Express page. As with Safari, this happens in our application. We could run automatically from command prompt a PAT over google.
When running the application in Firefox, there are many graphical errors. But something interesting is that we were able to run by ANT script the PATs for EDGE Express.
As I previously said, there are missing buttons and other visual issues but Sahi works over the code of the application, so we could playback some scripts by this way.
Obviously I don’t think this could be an option for automate our PATs, but maybe this behavior in firefox may help us find the reason of the problems in other browsers.
We check the proxy configuration constantly, and there are no problems with this.
Does anyone knows which could be the problem between Sahi-ANT and the app?
I will appreciate any help.
Thanks!
