Hi,

The error logs.htm file doesnt give any information on the kind or line number where a syntax error has occured.

This is the only error that i am getting from my code:

Starting script
ERROR
syntax error at Dec 30, 2011 4:48:43 PM
Stopping script

Please help ASAP on how i can exactly find which line of code is failing.

Note: I am using Textpad for coding, but this tool doesnt display any error. Also, eclipse sdk editor too doesnt display any syntax error.

  • Hi Shirley,

Could you please post the script here?

  • Hi Sumitra,

Mine is a custom script code in which i have written functions that will perform various actions on the website. The code is too big and will be of security concern for hosting on this site.
Generally, Sahi provides Textpad as an editor. But Textpad doesnt raise warnings incase of any syntax errors. Likewise when the code is being played back on controller, i get only "--Stopped Playback: FAILURE--" message. When i view the log, it only says syntax error. but doesnt mention the line number where it failed. My concern here is that the log file is not being more informative.
  • Hi shirley,

Check if you are getting any error on Sahi's console if so then please post it here.

    Regards
    Sumitra
