Controller not loading

Hi,

I had installed sahi last week and record and playback was working fine. On Monday i faced couple of network issues and my system ip address got changed.

The web application (for test) is hosted on my local machine.

Post the ip address change, Sahi controller stopped loaded for the given web application. I tried giving IP and Hostname in the URL but still it wont load.
On sahi.example.com page, the controller can be loaded and it identifies controls on this page but when my web application is loaded, the controller stops working.

OS: Win 7
Browser: Firefox 6 and IE 8

Hi shirley,

Use the machine name instead of IP and Hostname in the URL and check if you are able to get the controller.

Also,have a look at : http://sahi.co.in/w/help-the-sahi-controller-does-not-come-up

Let me know if you are still facing problem.

Hi Sumitra...

Machine Name and hostname will be same... this s what i think.

Please correct me if m wrong: Machine Name -> right click on My Computer -> properties -> Computer Name

ALso, i tried all teh steps present in the url you sent. But it still doesnt help.
Does Sahi generate any error logs for controller loading issues?

In one of Narayan's post, the line "Can you do a view source of the page and check if you see a script tag for /_s_/spr/concat.js at the top of the page?"
On my web application, this concat.js file is not present.

Additionally, the controller works fine for all other web pages (like google.com, etc.) except my web application.

Could you please let me know what version of Sahi are you using and which browser?

Also, can you check if you are facing this issue on all other browsers as well?

Hi Sumitra,

Sahi Version : V3.5, Build : 2011-07-19.

I restarted my system again and now sahi recognizes the first page (login Page) on the web application. So i viewed the page source contents and found the Sahi code injected into it. But the next pages after Login dont have the Sahi code in it. On account of which the controller stops working.

Please advice.

Sahi code not being inserted into other pages is observed on IE 8, Firefox 6 and Chrome.

Note:
1. Sahi controller works fine on google and other websites.
