not getting link count

Dear All/ Sumitra,

i want to get the link count under existing specific div tag

i used the below code to get the links count it is working fine

var $subjArea = _collect("_link", "/./", _in(_div("Menutagname1_TreeView1")));
_alert($subjArea.length)

but the same above code is used for another div tag but it not getting the count, showing zero

below is the another code which is displaying the link count as zero

after page gets generated in left side panel click the "Dropout" link and u will find sub links in right side panel, here click the 1st link and u will drill down to the report

here execute the below script then the link count is showing as zero but we have to get 3

var $subjArea = _collect("_link", "/./", _in(_div("contentDT"))); //Menutagname1_TreeView1n1
_alert($subjArea.length);


kindly help me in this issue, its very urgent for me to implement in my application

Hi Siva

when reading the dropout rates _count("_link", "/./", _in(_table("7iT0"))) = 3, these table ID doesn't seem to change, maybe you use it instead of _div("contentDT").

thank you very much for your quick reply

the code which was posted by u is correct, working fine for the report which u have tested but when we go to another report this code is not working as there is different table ID in different report

if i use this way " _in(_table("7iT0")) " this "ID" is dynamic for each specific report

in another report the id may contain or may not

please let me know if there is any other way for this issue

Use:

_in(_table("//"));

Check if this solves your issue.

it is also not working

it is giving all the links in left panel but i want the links only in report which is in right side panel
